Choir Socials
More than music. More than a choir. We're a family.
Some of the best Dragon Choir memories happen outside the rehearsal room and concert stage. Throughout the year, students have opportunities to spend time together, celebrate accomplishments, and build friendships through a variety of choir socials.
There are two types of Dragon Choir socials:
These are larger special events planned and funded by the RRHS Choir Boosters. They are designed to bring the entire choir together for memorable experiences and celebrations.
Boosters provide the funding, food, entertainment, venue, and other event expenses for these larger events.

Not every social needs a big budget! Throughout the year, students also organize their own smaller socials, often with help from the Choir Director and student officers. These socials are usually held on campus in the choir room and are more casual and student-driven. Students may be asked to bring a snack, drink, dessert, or other food to share.
These socials are a great way for students to spend time together without the expense or planning required for a large Booster-sponsored event.
Information about the student-organized socials will be shared by Ms. Jimenez and the student officers.
Choir is about much more than learning music. Our socials give students a chance to:
Build friendships - Get to know students outside their own choir and class.
Build community - Create the sense of belonging that makes Dragon Choir feel like a family.
Celebrate together - Recognize the hard work students put into concerts, UIL, TMEA, and the many other experiences throughout the year.
Make memories - Because years from now, students may not remember every rehearsal—but they'll remember the people they sang with and the memories they made together.
